Being from the part of the US where things can be found (Florida is just sunshine and sand), Medium Density Overlay plywood is a great boat/ wood product.  This is a pretty high quality core fir plywood with impregnated paper on one/ both sides (a holdover from the days of painted exterior signs). My current supply is about exhausted and none to be found at my old sources. I am about exhausted too, so maybe everything is working out as intended.

I have used it for years by first (after fabrication) saturating all surfaces with a couple of coats of West epoxy, sanded smooth, and sprayed with Dupont Imron. Cockpit table on Cbreeze must be a dozen years holding cold Coors, dip, and a few tools.  Looks just like the day it was installed.  Strangers visiting always want to know "what is this table mode from".  A hard slick surface.
